General Sir Dighton Probyn VC signed piece [probyn.jpg] £150.00 General Sir Dighton MacNaughton Probyn VC, GCB, GCSI, GCVO, ISO (21 January 1833 - 20 June 1924) born in London, he was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross. Probyn was 24 years old, and a captain in the 2nd Punjab Cavalry, Bengal Army during the Indian Mutiny in 1858. He went on to become Controller of the Household to King Edward VII. Probyn continued in this role throughout the King's rule and right up to his death. This piece is a signed free front letter dated 1911 from Sandringham. Some staining but a very rare autograph - £150
